So a few years ago I began loosely following the Nacelle Corporation’s (The Toys that Made Us and its spinoffs along with numerous other documentary shows) latent Nacelleverse initiative, gathering forgotten licenses of yesteryear spearheaded by the Biker Mice from Mars, and then launching a shared universe with toys, comics, and animation. And while comics for the properties have been bouncing around, we found out what happened to their efforts at animation, with their lead off show, Roboforce, being confined to Tubi.
No, it doesn’t look great. It actually kind of looks like the old Rescue Bots show in terms of animation, which was specifically designed for a younger audience while Nacelle seems to have targeted an older collector crowd. So, what other robot shows are debuting in April?
…Yeah.
We’ll see if having The Rock’s production company behind the show helps despite its confinement to Tubi or if Nacelle will be betting its chips on the Biker Mice series from Ryan Reynolds.
