I’ve always found the Seinfeldian branch of personal conduct as it relates to “cleavage” and “eye contact” also useful for how one should entertain or consume all which lies within the conspiracy theory nooesphere.
'Looking at cleavage is like looking at the sun. You don't stare at it. It's too risky. Ya get a sense of it and then you look away.'
There’s an expression, something to the degree of “keep one foot on land when the other is in the water”, and it captures the essence as well - at least for me personally.
It’s important to go through that universe and dig around at least enough to get a sense of the broader map of what is being entertained, absorbed, and propogated; and in addition to asorbing the objective data required in forming some general suspicions it is also equally imperative to avoid the myriad of available dogmas waiting to weigh you down inside that mindspace.
You can’t have a chance of having a peak of something vaguely resembling what comes close to enlightenment without venturing in that territory. Alternatively some people never make it past that junction.
“You should view the world as a conspiracy run by a very closely-knit group of nearly omnipotent people, and you should think of those people as yourself and your friends.” "Besides Paranoia is a Loser script; it defines somebody else as being in charge around here except me. I prefer to define myself and my friends as the architects of the future. If David Rockefeller has the same idea about himself and his friends, well, the future itself will decide which coalition was really on the Evolutionary Wave: the Money people or the Idea people". "On a planet that increasingly resembles one huge Maximum Security prison, the only intelligent choice is to plan a jail break." - Robert Anton Wilson
