now, someone asked to listen to my HC and AUs ideas, and I'm easily pleased by just one person 𝓪𝓼𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓸ꇴ𝓸

So, I'll lay down the HC for the OG Incredibles first, then I'll go to the AUs!

-Helen had Bob love STRUCK during their Glory Days and STILL does.

-at the start of Bob and Helen's relationship, Helen was a guide to Bob, since Bob NEVER had a relationship with anyone, scared of hurting them or something.

-Helen is from a BIG family, she's the third born and has six siblings after her.

-Bob is an only child who got abandoned by his dad and left to take care of his sick mother alone.

-the reason why Bob isn't so good with kids is because he never had a role model, since his father abandoned him and his mom, leaving Bob to aid his sick mother alone at the age of five.

-Lucius came from a wealthy family, but he was never spoiled. He and his mom actually were the help Bob got to save his mom, give her a job at Lucius's dad company, and generally have a better live than the poor live Bob had.

-Lucius is older than Bob by a year.

-Bob genuinely meant well by refusing Buddy, since he knew that sooner or later, Buddy would die under his care no matter what amount of protection does he give.

-Bob is actually GREAT at dealing with kids, but during THAT night, he was too nervous and in a hurry for his wedding, so he ended up acting the way he did.

-Bob's mom never got to see his wedding because she died two years prior, at Bob and Helen's second university of their first date.

-Bob lost his spark as Bob, but never as Mr Incredible, saying that M.I MUST stay a role model and a good hero, no matter what happens to Bob.

-none of Helen's family are pleased of her using her powers (her younger siblings are but their parents refused to go and forced them to not go as well) AND marrying someone with powers, so that’s why we don’t see them in the wedding.

-Bob has a BIG appetite. So big that the contest he won by eating a lot of things, including the two litter of mayo, was actually just a snack for him! (You can find what l'm talking about in Elasticgirl's book. I think? I'm not sure...) but if there's nothing edible, then it's no problem for Bob, he has a strong jaw and stomach, he can eat ANYTHING and the acid in his stomach would melt it just fine.

-Dash also has a high metabolism! He's a speedester who burns calories REALLY fast, so he MUST eat a lot.

-the only reason why we see Bob and Dash eating like normal people in the two movies is because Bob is still recovering from his depressive state he had during the ban, while Dash never really had the chance to run THAT much to eat more than a normal kid. Also, he was just used to eating like normal kids to "fit in," as his mom has told him.

-Violet was REALLY depressed during the first movie. She had insecurities, school, and a crush problems that eat her alive. Not counting her powers that she had to hide! Bob knew she was, but he himself wasn't in the best mental state. And Helen knew she had to be patient with Violet.

-the ban wasn't enforced 15 years prior, it was 10 years prior. Because Courts might take MONTHS for them to finish, so supers being sued over and over took five years before the government had enough. So Violet (who's 14 years old) remembers vaguely about seeing some heroes here and there. It's kinda part of the reason why she's a depressive.

-Jack-Jack took his mom's look, Dash took his dad's, while Violet had Bob's mom's look. He shed a few tears when he saw Vi.

-like how Vi has that nickname for Violet, and Dash has this as a nickname for Dashiel, Jack-Jack is for Jackson.

-Jack-Jack would STILL be a poly, like Meta Man or something, but not like his baby years. He'll keep SOME of his powers, while MOST would go.

-Dash would actually grow to be a reasonable person and possibly a scientist, despite being rebellious and cocky as a kid. Why? Because his mind runs MILLIONS of things in less than a minute, and he'll eventually end up listening to those things. He'll end up just like Flash from DC!

-out of all the supers, Bob NEVER had a scar in his hero days, all because of his invulnerability. Though he does have a scar! It was 'caused by his dad who was drunk and poured some boiling water on four-years-old Bob who didn't awaken his powers until he was twelve. He despises this scar on his back so much that he sometimes itches it too much for it to bleed. He's the only one who can make himself bleed, and he used to do it a LOT before Helen managed to get it down three years into their marriage.

-Dash NEVER got low grades, and that confuses the school and Helen, since according to his behaviour during class, he shouldn't be paying attention to anything at all. While Dash actually just needed someone to give a simple explanation, and his light-speed mind would piece it together!

-after the events of the second movie, Jack-Jack only accepts Bob to put him to sleep for a while, before Helen slowly returned to put him to sleep.

-Bob is the only one of the family who can deal with JJ's powers flaring while the suit is sent to Edna for repairs, since his danger sense helps him know when will JJ do something out of the ordinary (the ordinary for them, at least).

anyhow, time for the AUs!!

A Family Of Two—

basically, Helen, Violet, and Dash never survived. Bob got out just out of petty from Mirage, who he killed ultimately. Bob killed the robot just like in the canon, just Lucius was the one to press on the remote instead of Helen.

Lucius also noticed how Bob had blood all over him before he was thrown into the river by the robot, making the blood wash off, so he followed Bob who went to the house.

Bob didn't really know why would he go back to his house, when his whole family is dead (he didn't know if JJ came with or not on that plane). But when he was in the neighbourhood, he found a jet flying over his house, so he and Lucius ran.

they found Syndrome, everything happened just like in the canon, but when Ju was falling, Lucius tried to make a HUGE pile of snow to slow JJ. A body hit, but Bob didn't know if the snow was enough, so he threw the car and Syndrome died like in canon. Bob just gave up then.

what would he do? His family is dead. Died on a stupid plane, and he couldn't even save his last born!

he and Lucius then heard a giggle, and JJ was alive! Just covered in some snow.

Bob ended up staying at Lucius's apartment for a while, until the SRO relocated him.

From that day on, Bob DESPISED heroes. He never wore the suit ever again (yes, in this AU Bob never wore the suit again and I plan for it to stay that way) and banned any power usage in his and JJ's home. So when Lucius visits, he's NOT allowed to use his powers. Bob doesn't even use his powers to help around the house (that's one thing that might change in the future, after Ju helps his dad accepts his family's death). And when JJ grows up, Bob will teach him to control his powers so he NEVER uses them. Not even by accident.

also, Bob really tried to burn or destroy his suits (the blue AND the red one), but they're made by Edna, so he gave up and just returned it to Edna, who refused at first but took it when Bob snapped. He told her to NEVER discuss suits with him unless they're about Ju's suit that helps him control his powers.

and when JJ grows, he'll NEVER be a hero as long as Bob breaths (not for long, lol). And during the second movie, Bob does NOT help with the Underminer, leaving Lucius to deal with it alone (Lucius doesn't get arrested though, because he escaps just in time. But the damages were double the OG movie, because the Incredibles aren't there). Also, when Lucius handed Bob the Deavor's card, Bob takes the card from Lucius, just to burn it immediately. He doesn’t care.

so Lucius is the advocate for supers in this AU, since there’s no Helen/Elasticgirl.

And when the supers return, he tries to get Bob to return to super hero work, just to get him out of his depression. Bob didn't only refuse, but also didn't talk to Lucius for MONTHS.

Lucius then knew to never talk with Bob about super hero work. Not until a few years later, at least. When the grief isn't still fresh.

Why "No"?—

in this AU, Bob basically gets Nightmares, PTSD, and Hallucinations of the supers.

all out of blame on himself.

if he hadn't said "No" to Buddy, then none of this would've happened!

now, there are two possibility for this AU:

  Bob never recovers and ends up going crazy.

  Bob does recover, but he still has those episodes from time to time, and they'll NEVER go away.

The Bolt-

in this AU, Dash got to be fast enough to travel through time, space, and dimensions.

it's just that, don't look for angst. The only angst is the fact Dash has shut down and doesn't act as cheerful, not even around his family members when they meet up for Christmas or something. And his super hero identity is being faked by him, since he's a famous scientist who's ALWAYS grim, while The Bolt is a cheerful, joyful, and a womaniser of a man.

Why, Best Friend?—

in this AU, Lucius and Bob met when they were young. But when Lucius was training his powers (which he got at eight while Bob was SUPPOSED to get it at twelve), he killed Bob by accident.

and so, Bob hunts Lucius. Day and night.

Bob isn't always a mean ghost though, he sometimes help Lucius in hero work.

Ghosts of Friends and Colleagues-

Bob seeing the ghosts of the supers who were killed hy Syndrome, manage to tear them off the island that have their soul stuck with them, then have them roam around him.

sometimes, his family think he went crazy, but he doesn't care, because he can apologise over and over to the supers now. He was the reason they were banned AND killed after all!
