Robert Miller was the kind of guy who could charm his way out of almost anything. Born in 1988, he had the looks, the talent, and the swagger that made him a star athlete in high school and the only one of Joe Miller’s sons who could actually land a date. Now, at 23, life hadn’t quite panned out the way he’d hoped. He was stuck juggling shifts at a local pizzeria, a handful of odd jobs, and a knack for finding trouble. Robert had his father’s quick wit and bad habits, but deep down, he wanted more for himself—and maybe even for his family. Though he rarely said it out loud, he felt the weight of being the oldest, the one who had to set the example (even if it wasn’t a great one). Life on the Southside wasn’t glamorous, but Robert Miller always found a way to make it look good.
