#robert darke

an unfinished drawing from summer of 2023 that I just never got around to completing;; had some trouble with it, but the sketch itself turned out pretty cute??

I had this idea at the time to repurpose Merling Khalan into another story concept, where he interacts with Robert within the old RP that takes place in Hawaii :'0 @baskervilleshound and I had talked about the concept a bit and came up with some good feels as a result, but ultimately ended up putting more of our focus onto the Ravenwood RP instead haha

however!! I've always been happy with this art even though I'll never finish it ;o;; felt like sharing in case y'all wanted to see Robert again lol. it's been a while xD

I learned recently that there are some Dole whip shops in Hawaii, and I was like. dang. Robert would be SO addicted to the pineapple ones and would want Everyone to try them.

but then I remembered that Khalan doesn't like eating frozen things, so this dumb little comic came to mind and I had to draw it out xD

... "I guess there's some kind of weird, scientific reason why this keeps happening, but I'll spare you the technical mumbo-jumbo.... Not that I really understand much of it myself, anyway," Robert continued.

"But the point here is that – as weird as it sounds – you and Jim aren't the only ones from a different dimension. I dunno if that's really all that comforting or not, but them's the facts."

little sketch based on an RP scene where Robert and Khalan have a bit of a heart-to-heart chat. :'0 this takes place some time after Khalan and Jimmy have been in Hawaii for a little while, but Khalan is still struggling to adapt to all of the different changes of this new world. since Robert had already experienced what it was like to be a fish out of water, he's more than willing to be a source of encouragement in order to help Khalan out! ;u;

technically, this counts as a small gift for @pixlokita, since she gave me the suggestion to draw him again!!! I’m so glad she did, because it was about time I gave this boyo some love, tbh ;u;

don’t really know what inspired me to do this but I felt like sketching up a super quick comparison between the different human SpongeBob designs that I have? They're pretty similar overall, yet there are slight differences between them that I'm personally very aware of when I draw them :0

I definitely consider all three of them as separate versions of SpongeBob, each with their own character quirks or stories that make them somewhat unique from each other - with Robert being the most distanced from canon. tbh it felt real nice to draw all of these boyos again <3

hhh I've been super busy lately and haven't had much time to draw, so this is pretty much all I've managed to sketch as of late. ;o; my mind's been in a whirl and I wanna draw so many things but I guess the most I can get done at this point are just character busts haha. still better than nothing tho!
