Rob B (Stereo MCs)
Today please welcome Mr Rob B (Birch) from one of my favorite groups Stereo MCs. I have been a huge fan of them since high school starting with their "Lost in Music". God I can talk about these guys just like Patrick Bateman did for Whitney Houston or Genesis.
Many bands came and went but Stereo MCs never left the scene or never lost focus and the music they have produced to this date, the quality and stability of it, it is mindblowing.
I can comfortably say that a good 75-80% of the most killer bass lines have been laid by this duo. Take Black Gold for example. There is a reason this song was on the endless loop in my Almaty days.
Finally Emperor's Nightingale their latest album gave us Boy another killer bass line, this time with the impeccable feeling of growing up to being a nobody, a very ordinary guy with no target in life, where your dreams are falling through. And Levitation is not to be forgotten, a wild crossover of ragga/rock.
I contacted Rob B from Stereo MCs and asked him about his watch
He was a true gentleman to send me the wrist shot of his Sekonda watch and reason why it was his favorite:
He said "this is my favourite watch because my son gave it to me. Next to that I had a swiss army watch which I lost at airport security which I was quite fond of."
Thank you Rob B, big up! You are the man. By the way losing a watch (or forgetting one) during airport security check, when you are always in a hurry is one my worst fears too. Piece of advisem never use the plastic tray and keep the watch in the bag until you past the last security check. you might forget to put it back on but it would still be in your bag.
