I don't understand why we left our beloved Shooting Star and went to Australia to teach me something. Wasn't a photo enough? I'm starting to miss our cozy cabin…

Y'all gotta see this thing in person. When I was three, Al explained it to me and it's mighty impressive. C'mon, y'all ready? Here it comes in three, two, one: Surprise!

Wow… That's… That's a lot of… TRAILERS, HAHAHAHAA! Pun intended! Oh, my! That's awesome!

But this makes me ask many questions. Is it efficient? And isn't it dangerous? And how mighty are those engines? They are so many containers at the same time! Isn't it difficult to carry them?

Oh! Now I have to calculate all that! Let's see, how much weight can they carry if…?

Hold your horses, partner! You're moving faster than a bullet. This here's what we call a "Road Train," but folks also call 'em "long combination vehicles." They're big trucks built to haul up to three freight across the whole of Australia. There's some parts of there where flyin' or takin' it by train ain't gonna work, so they travel down these long, empty highways.

Down under in some parts of Australia, they let folks haul a whole passel of trailers, up to four of them, stretchin' out a whole kilometer long. These road trains are mighty important to their economy, ya know. But all that hauling sure does guzzle up the diesel, like, thirty-two billion liters a year! So they're workin' on some electric road trains to help cut down on that fuel bill.

For example, in the good old USA you can usually haul two trailers, tops. Except for some states, ya know? Maybe you can see them in some other countries in the world. But maybe we can talk about that another time, alright?

Why another day? Why not today?

Because today we're gonna be driving one of these here big ol' trucks! So, buckle up, ya'll! We got ourselves a rootin' tootin' good time waiting on us all across Australia!
