I captured this picture of St. Munchin’s (Roman Catholic) Church of Ireland and graveyard while sitting along the River Shannon at JJ Bowles Pub in Limerick. It sits across the street from King John’s castle. The church was built in 1827 and appears to be on the same grounds as the first cathedral of Limerick built in 561 AD which was burned. St Munchin was the first bishop of Limerick. If you zoom in you can see the interesting head stones in the graveyard where priests where buried. River Shannon can be beautiful and mesmerizing to look at, however it is dangerous, deep and mysterious. This snapchat filter brought out the darkness of the river which I really like
