#rival trip

Found this and wanted to add my own points:

Trip: was racist/xenophobic towards Ash, who had been pretty nice to him, looking down on him from being from Kanto.

Sawyer : ??? Tbh, I barely remember him, I think he was a bit of an Ash fanboy but that's not any real gripe.

Alain: inadvertently helped Lysandre with the whole genocide plot. Oops. Tbf, he was very upset when he found out what that Mega Evolution energy he gathered was going towards.

Gladion: did not inform his mother about Faba summoning UBs in the basement, and got mad at her years later for not realizing Lillie's trauma.

(Also, side tangent: Anime Lusamine was treated a bit unfairly imo. She was somewhat neglectful, sure, but at the same time, she was likely still reeling from losing Mohn, plus being the Aether Foundation's president, such a high-ranking position probably means she's super busy nearly all the time. I don't really quite blame her.)

Love this!! Love looking at their friendship!! They definitely look like they're enjoying fireworks!

This is rare to see him this serious and he talks about how he has them on the top of a list of possible new gym leaders that can take over a few gyms. Iris is destined to take over for Drayden but Trip is placed between taking over for Lenora or Brycen.

Before Trip or Iris can object there’s a loud clattering sound from behind Alder and distant shouting.

Alder sighs heavily and hangs his head in his hands before slowly getting up. Showing his old age and withering body as his bones pop and crack before gesturing the two trainers to come with him.

It’s... odd to see Alder this calm.

What is even odder is seeing Ash and Roxie yelling at each other and cursing a snickering Cilan. Flour coats the large kitchen and Ash and Roxie are drowning in it.

Pikachu and Pansage stears clear from the mess as they scamper over to the Champion and easily climb the man to settle on his shoulders. Chittering like their explaining what happened to the old man.

“I’m trying to help them make bread.” Cilan smiles. There’s an evil glint to his emerald eyes and Alder pats his back as he passes. He knows deep in his bones that Cilan was purposely handing Ash and Roxie the wrong Ingredients the entire time. He did the same thing to Cheren and Burgh once upon a time when he was small and just stepping into the role as a gym leader.

He leaves the other two gawking in the kitchen doorway. The two ‘mons still clinging to his shoulders as he takes out a broom and a mop out of the cupboard closet and hand it over to a pouting Ash and Roxie.

“The vacuum is in the hallway closet.” He reminds them.

“We know.” Is chorused back.
