While Mike usually found himself enjoying the parties that his fraternity threw, tonight was not his night. He had gotten into a pretty big fight with his roommate and it had put quite the dampen on his mood for the right of the night. So when Siv’s question was posed, he felt as if a weight had been taken off of his shoulders. His teeth sank into his bottom lip as he found himself nodding his head slightly in response, “Yeah, I’d love to.” He reached out to take Siv’s hand into his own, intertwining their fingers. “Do you think I could stay with you tonight?”

“i have a hobby, alright, i have many hobbies as a matter of fact!” he couldn’t help but huff at the sheer audacity of this barista, it seemed that all he had to do was breathe in her vicinity and that was enough to warrant a death glare. it was beyond him what paul saw in emma and vice versa, it wasn’t for ted’s lack of trying to figure it out. “and i don’t see you having many hobbies besides being a bitch.”

“alright, alright — do you know why i invited you out here?” minwoo asked excitedly, practically bouncing as they entered the small meadow. the moon overhead was full and bright, illuminating the area in a cool light that cancelled out any need for artificial lights. he’d found out he could do something rather extraordinary and felt the need to share his gift. perhaps any sane person would ensure no one would come to know of any supernatural ability they may have for fear of losing them or putting their life on a dangerous track of being exposed, but minwoo put far too much trust in others. “don’t, like, get scared or anything, okay? it’s not anything scary. i mean, who’s scared of just a couple of flowers?”

a small snort of amusement escaped five as he glanced over at the other, “you and me both…” then again, the holidays had never been conventional for the hargreeves family. but as the years progressed ( especially the ones he had spent in the future ), he had grown cynical toward everything that the christmas season represented. “at this point, i just look at it as an excuse for our capitalistic society to manipulate the populace through commercialism and nothing more. it would be far more tolerable if it weren’t for those fucking annoying christmas songs on the radio or bright lights everywhere.”

she looked down at the shirt that she was wearing. she forgot it was his until he brought it up. but it didn’t really fit in with the rest of her clothes. her clothes were usually hand me downs from her sister. that’s what she got for being the youngest of two girls. “um...i think so, yeah.” prim was blushing a little bit. “i can go change, if you want. and you can have it back.” though she did like the idea of having something of his, even if it was just a t-shirt. 

“Thank you for accompanying me again tonight,” Isobel spoke quietly in case there was anyone else in the halls. Isobel Rosmerta had the habit of studying deep into the night. And while she used to do it in the comfort of the Hufflepuff common room, she found the company of a certain Slytherin to be much more preferable to the soft couches that she shared with her housemates. His apparent excuse was that he was an insomniac, as she supposed was natural for a vampire to want to be up during the night. “I brought you blood pops from Honeydukes as payment for your kindness,” she smiled at him. Food was truly her love language.

sabrina didn’t even look up from her handbook. she was supposed to be getting a quiz sometime today. she didn’t know when the quizmaster was coming, which made her concentrate more. “sorry, i haven’t really been talking to anyone. i even gave my phone to my aunts so i wouldn’t get distracted.” and she took the landline out of her room for good measure. “did they tell you what was going on today with me?”
