Luluana (Lulu in short) is a very kind-hearted, energetic and cheerful birb! More than anything else in the world, she loves spending her time flying high in the sky and constantly visiting different places. Lulu is a big fan of carnivals and everything party-themed as well, she loves to dance and perform various maneuvers in the sky 💫

* Some extra notes about the design:

- the inner and outer wing markings differ slightly

- Lulu can be drawn with any feet type (climbing or perching ones; check the last pic to see the difference)

- her beak might look more canonically accurate like macaws from Rio have, or like the one in my ref sheet. any option works :>

yknow what, a lot of the reason i'm watching this, aside from nostalgia, is getting ideas of how to draw rio de janeiro since it's maybe sort of the inspiration behind the a setting in a comic i'm making

ok so my classmate in middle school liked this movie but was TERRIFIED of the opening scene. he called it "the monster music" and honestly i get it, the singing in this song is very sharp and overstimulating and i found it upsetting too. but he was like scared-obsessed with this scene and would keep talking about it while getting increasingly upset

this moment alone deserves an award for creative animation. WOW

nobody saw this girl's endangered parrot and thought maybe she shouldn't have this thing as a pet

as far as parrot owners go, she is definitely "one of the good ones" though. if you can't be as devoted to a bird as she is, then you should not have one. never mind all the dangerous stuff she exposed him to because this is a cartoon

in less than a minute this guy went from grumpily killing a fly to dancing to samba in sparkly clothes to pitying a sick bird. also seems accurate for tumblr scientists.
