fluff from earlier this month
To defeat someone who is very meticulous, you have to be meticulous yourself.  I felt, that was Korraâs main problem in this most recent episode Book 4, and that her problem tends to be very consistent.  She likes to attack without really thinking meticulously about it like her enemies.  And Kuvira is VERY meticulous, more-so than I think all the others were.  Kuvira has a very good strategy for fighting and defending, which I do think Korra is more capable of showing, but as we have seen, she tends to just chucks rocks, or other bending techniques in a more head on âbrute-forceâ fashion.  That was another big problem in Book 3 when she fought against Zaheer.  One of my favorite animes out there, âLaw of Uekiâ really digs deep into that concept.  One of the characters doesnât always rely on his special ability.  Yeah, itâs helpful to have such great power through such a supernatural force, but he relays mostly on his martial arts more then he does the power he was given.  Rihou is the guys name by the way for those of you who may know the anime.  Uekis problem, like Korra, is that he always tends to rely too much on brute force, and head on attacks that really donât really have a strategy to them other than âhit your opponent with all you got and nothing more.â  And as we have seen in this episode of Korra, when Korra kept trying to hit her with all she got, Kuvira was always one step forward, and used her brains over brawn techniques.  It wasnât until the very end that Korra had to go into the avatar state, but even then, everything in front of her froze, and she couldnât go on, almost getting herself killed in the process.  But Iâm sure sheâll learn that lesson more as the series progresses.  We havenât given up on Korra just yet!!  AlsoâŚAs the series goes on, itâs very noted how much political boundaries have changed, and become thicker in each new avatar season/series.
And thatâs all I have to say about that. Â :)
*edit* And yes...I really like to use the word "meticulous" a lot ~~
