"Why are you so calm about this?"
Rifk shrugs. Or she tries to, wincing a bit as the movement caused the deep axe wound that bit into her shoulder to move. As the druid worked around her, staunching all the bleedy bits that sheâd gotten during her latest fight, Rifk truly did seem very calm. Almost unnaturally so.
"Did ya take anehtâing befoâ ya fought?" Zalmai growled as she worked quickly.
"Tch. Anâ fog me up? Fuck no. If Iâm on anything, it messes me up. I like tâ feel their bones and body give way under my hits, beautiful. You should know that."
"Den âow da fockâre joo so calm?!" The druid was pissed, baring teeth and everything. But her hands kept moving, glowing and healing with much practiced ease while her mouth and head were busy with the orc in front of her.
This time Rifk grew wise, shrugging her good shoulder. âCause âm gonna die sometime, Peaches. Whatâs it matter if itâs now or in a few days or a month or years?â
That made Zalmai pause. She stood, bloody paws gripping either side of the warriorâs face as clear amber stared into muddy red. âJoo ainâ drunk.â
"Iâm not drunk." Rifk confirmed, expression staying the same damned calm as before.
"Tâink ah like ya betta when ya are." She huffed before going back to work.
"Yeah." Rifk sighed, stretching as best as she could. "Most time Iâd agree with ya." She said before falling silent, letting the angry, blue, furry person do all the work. Once she was done, Rifk stood and stretched fully, testing the new skin as she worked as many kinks out as she could.
"Thanks, Peaches. I owe ya." The warrior nodded before starting to leave, wobbling just a bit as the room spun around her.
"Foâ fockâs sakes, jusâ sit down anâ rest! Isnâ like ya got aneh un else ta look afta ya!" As soon as the words left her mouth, Zalmai regretted them.
Rifk paused, lips half quirking up in a faint smile. âBe seeinâ ya, Zally.â She said before she strode through the doorway.
Swearing under her breath in both Orcish and Zandali, Zalmai shoved her face out of the door. âAnâ donât joo fockinâ go lookinâ foâ aneh fighâs oâ else ahâm gonna kick ya fockinâ ass!â She yelled after the orc.
All she got was a wave in response. Rifk didnât even turn around.
