I headed to Owatonna today to ride the Muckle Trail. It begins at Moorehouse Park and heads north along the Straight River. As you begin, you will pass a beautiful mural on the side of the Straight River Sports building. The cool thing about this trail is that there are several bridges and underpasses to go over and under. The trail is only about a mile long and then it turns into the Wildung/Ihlenfeld Trail. This mile + gravel trail continues along the Straight River and goes past the city's municipal treatment plant. It then enters into a riparian woodland along the river. The trail here is a bit sandy in a few spots but still passable. Again there are steel bridges to cross and there are many trees surrounding the trail.
