#tbthursday to four years to the date, I had just finished shooting a video w/ @grindmodecypher for a cypher w/ Joyner Lucas I produced & got the phone call of a lifetime where I was invited to the iconic, legendary & forever historic D BLOCK studios out in Yonkers, NY for a recording session w/ @rickybats • That night & session is one I’ll never forget & am forever grateful/honored to have been able to step foot, build/politic & be able to make one of my dreams come true by working on my art/music alongside an artist I’m not only a fan of but work extremely well w/ inside the empire/studio that is Jadakiss, Styles P, Sheek Louch & Poobz aka The LOX!! • With that being said, the studio session was truly what dreams are made of & since that day, I’ve never worked in a recording studio or musical environment the same! • I have to give the biggest S/O, Utmost respect & Salute to D BLOCK’s in-house engineer @the_real_dayzel & @iamdycepayne for not only opening their doors to myself & making me feel at home the second I walked in, but also respecting what I brought to the table & allowing/forcing me to grow rapidly by respecting my input & giving me the opportunity to call the shots during part of the session/recording process that has definitely shaped me tremendously when it comes to my professionalism as well as creativity in the studio/music business. • BATS & I have been back in the studio recently and he mentioned I’ve gotten quicker with the key commands / short cuts when recording/vocal tracking & I told him ever since I saw Dayzel run a session I’ve been tryna catch up & keep up ever since!! S/O to one of if not the best sound/audio/mix engineers in the fucking game!!! SALUTE KING!! • Lastly, we’re talking about D BLOCK!!!!
