Richard Widmark and Gene Tierney for Jules Dassinβs NIGHT AND THE CITY (1950).
Kiss of Death (1947) dir. Henry Hathaway
Wasn't thrilled with Riddler's depiction on 'Batman: Caped Crusader', but I made peace with it realizing that I think he's modeled, personality-wise, on Richard Widmark's character in the 1947 Noir film 'Kiss of Death', which Frank Gorshin cited as a major influence on his Riddler performance for 'Batman '66'.
Gorshin started his career doing impressions, and Widmark was a natural frequent go-to since Gorshin basically looked exactly like him from 20 years earlier.
