Enjoy the layers of Salted Caramel Panna Cotta Parfait that are rich and delicious. This dessert is smooth like panna cotta, sweet like caramel, and crunchy like nuts that have been caramelized. A delicious treat for any event!
Ingredients: 2 cups heavy cream. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 1/2 teaspoons gelatin. 3 tablespoons water. 1 cup salted caramel sauce. 1 cup Greek yogurt. 1 cup crushed caramelized nuts e.g., almonds or pecans. Sea salt for garnish.
Instructions: Mix water and gelatin in a small bowl. Give it five minutes to bloom. Over medium heat, mix heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract in a saucepan until the sugar melts. Don't boil. Take the cream mix off the heat and add the gelatin that has bloomed. Mix the gelatin in until it's all gone. Let the mixture cool down a bit, and then fill up parfait glasses halfway with it. Put it in the fridge for at least two hours, or until it sets. Put a thin layer of salted caramel sauce on top of the panna cotta once it has set. Mix Greek yogurt in a bowl until it's smooth. Put some yogurt on top of the caramel in each glass. Put a lot of crushed caramelized nuts on top of each parfait. Add more salted caramel sauce on top of the nuts, and for decoration, sprinkle them with sea salt. Put the parfait back in the fridge for two more hours, or until it is completely set. Cool it down and enjoy the layers of smooth panna cotta, salty caramel, and crunchy nuts!
