Ingredients: 2 lbs pork ribs, separated. 1/2 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup hoisin sauce. 3 tablespoons honey. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon ginger, grated. 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder. 1 teaspoon sesame oil. 1/2 cup cornstarch. 1/4 cup green onions, chopped for garnish. 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 400F 200C. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, Chinese five-spice powder, and sesame oil to create the marinade. Coat each rib evenly with the marinade, ensuring they are well-covered. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes. Dredge each marinated rib in cornstarch, shaking off excess, to achieve a crispy exterior. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the ribs are golden and crispy. While baking, prepare a small amount of additional marinade for basting. Once done, baste the ribs with the additional marinade for an extra burst of flavor. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
