Yeah, sorry guys--like I said over on @rhys-ravenfeather, no new Myth City this week...I spent all my time on a drawing that ended up taking longer than I thought, and by the time I was done, I had NO energy left to work on a comic page ;w;

But I didn’t want to leave you all completely high and dry, so here. Have the result of me rewatching (or rather, listening to) old videos from my highschool days again XD

Yeah yeah, I know I'm a bit late with this one, but on top of the fact that I had a couple other art projects I wanted to get out of my system first, my new new job has been eating up most of my time…and with all the tribute fanart Professor Utonium/Tom Kane has already gotten, it's not exactly like the guy's been starved for attention. All the same, the original Powerpuff Girls was such a huge part of my childhood, and the Professor's relationship with his girls so sweet and wholesome, that I couldn't not do my own redraw of sorts in his honor, including my headcanons for the girls' skin colors.

Goodbye, Tom Kane. Thank you for giving your voice, heart, and soul to one of, if not the, best cartoon dad ever.

I have fully come to realize and accept the fact that a good chunk of my adult life up to this point has been trying to make up for lost time and do/experience things that, for one reason or another, I didn't get to back when I was an actual kid, the best that I can. Including, seeing as how both my artistic talent and confidence have grown since, drawing fanart for my favorite shows from back then. So, not too long ago, a friend reminded me of one of my favorite childhood cartoons…and, more pointedly, one of my favorite characters from said cartoon. And I of course had to include my other favorite character--not just because X-Men: Evolution's version of Nightcrawler was one of my biggest childhood crushes (though yeah, I'm not going to pretend that that wasn't a factor), but because he's Rogue's adopted brother. It just felt right.

So yeah, this is for you, little Rhys.

Updated Benny reference! I'm not really happy with how his body/pose in his human form turned out, but otherwise, I definitely feel like I did better than the first couple times I drew him. Especially since I decided to bump him down a couple years--I feel like I captured his personality better, heh heh.

Finally we've come to OTOC's first human character, as well as the first adult--updated reference for Norman Paoa. I decided to make him try and look a little more tired and world-weary, partly because, hey, the guy pretty much accidentally adopted two supernatural kids and their pet and ended up getting pulled into their misadventures while just trying to solve a missing child case.
