I have a weakness for marigolds, the French and English types (they are not the same, I know). I have special dispensation from a wonderful gardener called, I think, Sid Love, (does anyone remember him?) who was one of the gardeners at the RHS garden at Wisley. He taught me many things when I spent a year there making a TV series for Channel Four in the 1980s. He said I was allowed to grow marigolds, in his opinion, because I showed better taste in a lot of other things! I owe him a lot. Monet-esque water lilies at Wisley.

Had a lovely cycle with my son to the nursery at Wisley Gardens today and bought some fruit & veg seeds for next year. Started the day in another nursery looking for a raspberry plant but didn't find one. Wisley said it was too early so I have a good excuse to go back😀 This #floweroftheday picture is so 2020 with facemasked photo bomber isn't it!
