For some reason tumblr wouldn’t let me post for like 6 days!!!! How was I supposed to show off my Rhinebeck haul!!!
For myself: about a pound of washed Romney, 2 stricks of linen (a gift from my friend), 4 balls of Brown Sheep Company CottonFleece I got for a laughably low price, 52 Weeks of Scrap Yarn, and From Plant to Pigment (which I got signed!!)
For my sister: sparkly purple top, a dainty cherry burl spindle, a mini niddy noddy, and respect the spindle. (She didn’t get to go and so we pooled together to get her a nicer birthday gift) (not pictured: alpaca merino and linen roving my friend and I combed so I could teach her to use her new combs)
Im really glad that @thedoctorknits also thought Giant Cricket was this guys’s name, because mom and I were also confused. Turns out that that’s the farm name 😅 still he was a sweetie
The non-yarn items I got at NY Sheep & Wool! A Nålbinding needle, a Lucet and some fiber for spinning. The braid on the left has 20% yak hair in it so I'm excited to see how it spins!

Anyone else headed to NY Sheep and Wool this upcoming weekend? Don't forget how long that stuff takes to dry!
...
Also if you finished your sweater way ahead of schedule but have put off sewing on the pockets and buttons until the very last minute, maybe get on that too. But I wouldn't know anything about that. Hm.
actually finished my rhinebeck sweater in time! i love it so much, the floats on the inside are suuuper squishy. you can check out the inside on my ravelry project page, i took a pic of the float control about a month before i finished it ^^ the text is on the back and front, its the "just do your own thing" david shrigley print that i charted myself
Just knit stitches and slip stitches for the main pattern. That's all! And once the pattern is established, it's just a matter of looking at the previous row to determine if it's time to open or close a square.
While I won't be able to make Rhinebeck, Square Biz shawl will be there!. Stop by Into The Whirled's booth to check it out and all of their fantastic colorways. Links in my bio for the Square Biz shawl pattern, and coupon code RHINEBECK for 20% off until Tuesday.
