Going out to eat alone was not a big deal. That’s what Libby had to keep telling herself as she exited the resort elevator and into the lobby. But she was still having trouble truly convincing herself of it and couldn’t help looking around to see if she could spot anyone to go with. Sure, she could have just ordered room service to her room instead, but she was already dressed for the day and wanted to show off her new sundress. Spotting a familiar head of dark hair across the lobby, Libby smiled a little before weaving her way through the crowd of guests to get to her. “Reyna! Hey, you wouldn’t happen to be free for lunch, would you?” She asked as she approached with a bright grin. “It’s totally fine if you’re busy or somethin’. I’m just starvin’ but don’t particularly want to go sit in a restaurant alone.”

even though reyna and josie had never been on bad terms per se, they were never on exactly good terms either. they were on...weird terms. everything about their relationship was a little weird, from the fact that they used to be close to the fact that josie had to train reyna despite being much younger and used to being viewed as the other’s little sister. but josie made the best out of every bad situation, like she was trained to do. so instead of dwelling on it, she decided to push past the weirdness and just try to find the silver lining. so when she sees reyna coming in for her shift, she gives her a smile. “hey, how was your weekend. do anything fun?” she asks, in hopes to keep the mood light and breezy.
