“Well that looks like a piece of junk.”

“Does it?”

“Yeah, it does. Isn’t that the kind of mediocre thing that falls out of a blue engram?”

“I suppose it’s based on a common frame design.”

“That’s what I mean.”

“Well, an easy mistake.”

“Mistake?”

“This little number’s anything but common. Special features, you might say.”

“Oh yeah? Like what?”

“Found a little Golden Age microtransmat module. Programmed it with a ballistic recall protocol to get back missed shots.”

“Really?”

“Really.”

“Huh. That’s neat, but... seems like the kind of thing you’d want on something else. Like a machine gun, maybe.”

“It does plenty of good work on a platform like this, trust me.”

I know a bunch of my followers don’t really main Destiny 2, but this game is my literal favorite. Point aside, this week started a new expansion and with it, a new Crucible (Competitive PvP) weapon. This thing was a bitch to get in the grindy sense and it requires a LOT of sniping. But after blood, sweat, and tears (happy and sad), I acquired what is now my most prized possession.

The moral of this story is this. A few years ago, I was in a massive state of depression. I felt useless. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life at all and I felt lost and like I was getting crushed by the weight of the world. Now, I got various happy gifs from my wife, @bitch-with-wifi-1126, who plays Destiny as well as we celebrated a big victory for me in my gaming career because I mastered a new skillset. Guys and girls, LIFE. GETS. BETTER. If you are looking for a sign saying that tells you not to kill yourself, this is it. There is someone who wants to hear about your victories as much as you want people to. So know that it gets better. All you have to do is have patience and perseverance.
