i had a dream where we were in a saw trap together and i had to guide you through a pressure plate maze
oh no that would be the absolute worst kind of maze for me to solve, I am very unsteady on my feet and clumsy enough that I don't think I'd manage not to accidentally step on the plates that get us explodstabgoremurdered
14!
14. Worst game you’ve ever played?
Okay so the game that immediately came to mind is not actually a game I'd even call bad, or anywhere near the worst game I've played. But it's a game that disappointed me and which, when I think of it, makes me yearn so bad for it to have just been better because it could've been so good but it just wasn't. That game is Hea/ven's Va/ult.
It's a game about deciphering an alien script, set in an interesting sci-fi world. I fckng LOVE learning about the transcription and decryption process of different scripts, and how different societies gained literacy and so on, I get obsessed with undeciphered scripts at least once a year. This game could have been perfect for me. But it makes some really unfortunate decisions that kneecap itself so bad - like letting you explore environments to learn about the world and find clues for your transcription, but not telling you which explorable points are points of no return that will move you to the next story point or environment without a way back. There were so many little ways where it just felt like the game was fighting against itself, having quirks in its systems that hindered the gameplay, that I couldn't finish it. And that just. that just continues to make me very sad. It could've been so good.
