Truth is I didn’t want a man. Really, I want to feel all of me realize what is, what is; my body, in existence; enough.

It's almost Halloween, which means it's time to share one of my favorite pieces of Lost-and-Found media: BBC's 1972 series: Dead of Night!
While there were seven episodes broadcast in total, only three have been found and restored since their original air date. Those are "A Woman Sobbing", "The Exorcism", and "Return Flight". All three are eerie, well-staged, and contain that element of pure '70s camp that make the horror of the era so damn good.
The title sequence alone is spine-chilling.
I remember staring up at my ceiling the first night after watching "A Woman Sobbing", equal parts terrified and intrigued by what might've happened in the missing episodes. It's a shame we'll never see them again, but what a gift to have these few to enjoy!
Anyway, from my endless files of horror media and lost disasterpieces... Happy Halloween!
Before I could speak, I was left behind.
What I couldn’t express, was left behind. I leave behind the things that don’t belong
To me. The red life vest floating out to sea.

Don’t be sad. I never wanted my photo to be taken; to kill the child within. In defiance rose a desire to be nothing.
