I don’t know if you’ve talked about it before but what’s your method for getting the different textures in your drawings? I love the retro look to them it’s so authentic and cool.
A lot of it comes from the tools I use and studying! When you wanna replicate a particular retro style, the best thing to do would be to research the history of the art style, how it was made, etc. and then look at a lot of references. It takes a lot of practice, but once you get the hang of it, it's a lot of fun. 😁
I use the paper textures from Phantom Paper and Paper Boy Bundle, and the cracks/scruffs come from the Edges and Folds brush packs. (If you wanna get these, I'd recommend waiting for sales, unless you can afford the full price)
When I throw VHS filters on my art, I typically use the NTSC-RS program. It's probably the best VHS filter out there, as it's quite accurate. Best part that it's for free!
If y'all want a step-by-step on this stuff I'd be happy to provide.
