i think fresh would have a hard time thinking of Greaser as a real person.
To be painfully truthful, greaser is pretty much a joke character. His original purpose was just to be Fresh’s counterpart as the funny greaser sans guy who also had a nostalgic theme like fresh, Its been years and he hasn’t been fleshed out beyond that unless you count his lucidia counterpart with chilli and his backstory with ginger that was never revealed. No real au and no real lore, hes just meant to be a stereotypical greaser.
Fresh would not be able to take that seriously. greaser does not know he is a character and that his backstory is so hilariously cliche, to him his feelings and memories are very real and have affected his whole life. But fresh knows they are all characters and themes and tropes, and he thinks greaser is hilarious. Such a chatacter, driven by the irrationalty of emotion, something that Fresh does not understand, what a joke. Even though they have a lot of similarities with the fear of love that Fresh may or may not pick up on at first.
For a long time i think hed just treat Greaser like a joke, and kinda be amused by all his broody behavior in the beginning of their relationship. Until he does grow attached and then greaser feeling bad would start to make HIM feel bad, and greaser being happy would make HIM happy??? And fresh would freak out and blah blah blah also I imagine fresh would get really weird when he feels happy because it’s so overwhelming. So his affection towards Greaser often escalates to cuteness aggression really hard and fast, and also limerence. Which is really bad.
