1947 Northern Electric "Baby Champ" radio model 5000. AM reception, 5 tubes. Beautiful Bakelite case is in great condition without cracks or chips and has a nice new Sunrise Yellow finish. Original knobs and original back is present ( not too bad considering the cardboard back is 76 years old!). Dial cover is new and crystal clear. New power cord. All components such as capacitors, tubes and resistors have been tested and replaced where bad or weak. Iconic design! Receives stations along the dial and plays nicely.
