Ch Dukeries Dancing Lady, golden retriever owned by Mrs. I.M. Parsons of the Torrdale kennel, Mansfield, 1937
"The star of the Golden entry, and, in my opinion, as nearly perfect as possible; I have no hesitation in saying that to-day she is the best bitch of the breed on the bench, in fact I am not sure that she is not about the best I have ever seen; colour perfect, head and expression perfect; small ears, the most glorious body, great depth combined with great spring of rib, and marvellous feet and stern, and altogether a bitch you dream about but seldom see; she was put down in perfect bloom and stood like a statue, and is a credit to her owner; anyone who can find one to beat her on her form to-day will be lucky. I made her easily best exhibit in the breed."
Stubbings Golden Nimbus, golden retriever owned by Mrs Nairn of the Stubbings kennels, near Maidenhead, 1937
