Please tell me your secrets to defeat Simon
I don’t think I have secrets, but here’s what I did as a player who didn’t parry a single one of his attacks:
My main party was Maelle, Sciel and Monoco. Monoco and Sciel were purely support for Maelle. Monoco using revive tints/buffing everyone and Sciel doubling Maelle’s damage/giving AP as needed. This way Maelle could one shot phase 1 with Stendahl. Most of phase 2 a was frantic dodging, reviving before Simon could erase their corpse, and trying to survive long enough for a double damage marked Gommage.
Phase 3 with the reserve team was the hardest. Lune was either reviving or using elemental genesis every turn, and Verso building as much gradient charges so I could keep using Angel Eyes. It was helpful that Simon kept everyone at 1 HP since it let Verso do the most damage with Berserk Slash and I didn’t have to waste a turn with Overload. I forgot the name, but he was using the weapon that puts you in S rank every time you break an enemy, along with every break related lumina I had.
I did that until he was finally dead.
The most important Lumina I used were Cheater, Second Chance, Revive Paradox and Breaking Death. Breaking death was THE most important since I was able to stun Simon every time he killed someone, revive them, and then take another turn with revive paradox. Everyone also had every Lumina equipped that would fill the gradient charges faster.
I did grind a little bit before the fight to get enough colors of lumina for Monoco to catch up to the others. I think everyone had about 250 lumina points. You can fight the Clair Obscur mini boss over and over at the top of the Monolith for 5 colors every fight, and it’s very easy to one shot.
Didn’t bother putting points in anyone’s defense or vitality since Simon always puts you at 1 HP…except for Verso who has 99 vitality because it makes Berserk Slash do more damage 👌🏻
That was my strategy, I think I also got a bit lucky with rng since the sword of lumiere attack didn’t get used very often and when it did I was lucky to have Angel Eyes set up so I could recover from a full party wipe, lol.
I know some people are able to set up Maelle to one shot Simon in phase 2 but I was not able to even come close to that amount of damage, even with every damage boosting lumina I had. So idk how people do that, I suppose it’s lucky rolls with roulette?
