#resonate

Resonance meaning when you experience something (or more likely someone) and they just evoke images, memories, emotions, or senses that just feels right for you.

Like, I look at a person fictional or otherwise and I'm like "whoa, i love their gender." But its not really their gender, right? Its moreso their self-expression whether that be their actual appearence or personality or whatever. Their energy, or vibes perhaps. Whatever it is drawing me to them resonates with me. It's my gender.

It makes sense to me because I can have this gender resonance with multiple people and it doesn't necessarily lessen or negate my previous resonance I experienced, just added a new layer. Or it could wipe the slate totally clean. I don't make the rules, my brain does.

This particularly makes sense to me as I constantly feel uncomfortable with current gender labels that exist like nonbinary or genderfluid or even agender, but based on descriptions alone those would be as close as I could get to current day labels.

The idea of gender resonance could also apply to people who are confused or questioning whether they are trans at all, meaning cis people should be welcome to use it. Such as the term gender nonconforming.
