Meaning & Purpose of this Blog
All around this massive, yet tiny world there are individuals who are being tormented by others who are probably stuck in an illusion where they are superior, humorousĀ creatures. This project is revealing the impact of bullying by invisibly portraying it into pictures. Resistance is expressed through the words and voices of some people who experienced it, or ones who are simply expressing their feelings regarding this subject, one that cannot be ignored, or perceivedĀ asĀ āokayā.
These pictures were taken by me throughout differentĀ time periods in Dawson College and other areas in Montreal, QC. The purpose is to capture various places where bullying is seen and heard. Plus, there are pictures of the beautiful, joyful sky to juxtapose the dark memories and horrific times derived from these places. The sky is a philosophically unknown space that has no limitations. It makes you reflect and realize that the problems we encounterĀ are really small compared to the massive universe around & above us. When one is being troubled by this form of violence, looking at the sky is a way to escape the negativity and deal with the pain it causes. Nature surroundingĀ us is a reminder that after all, we are a part of nature: Beautiful and Strong.
Being bullied is not ānothingā, and it is not āeasyā to overcome it; but, just for a second, looking at the infinite sky above us can bring a light in our aching soul.
