Delighted to share that our research article, βA 14-Point Framework for Safe Intraoral Chin Augmentation,β has been published in the International Journal of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
What began as observations in the operating room evolved over 14 months into a structured frameworkβthrough research, discussion, writing, revision, and refinement.
One of the most rewarding aspects of surgery is not just performing a procedure, but understanding it deeply enough to transform experience into a safe, reproducible, and teachable protocol.
Chin augmentation may appear to be a relatively small procedure, yet its impact on facial balance, profile aesthetics, and patient confidence can be significant.
The intraoral approach offers distinct aesthetic advantages. However, as with any surgical technique, successful outcomes depend on meticulous planning, sound anatomical understanding, and disciplined execution.
Our 14-point framework is an effort to bring greater clarity, consistency, and safety to the procedure, helping surgeons navigate decision-making with a structured approach.
Grateful to all the co-authors, mentors, colleagues, and patients who contributed to this journey.
