Reader was waiting at the steps of Hexside while everyone was going inside with their dates. Why was he just standing alone? Well, it's quite simple, he hadn't been asked out.
He was about to leave when he saw Edric running up to him. The green haired boy took a second to catch his breath when he finally was in front of him, he was saying words that he couldn't really understand.
Once Edric finally caught his breath he took a deep breath and did an illusion spell that made a sign that said "Will you go to grom with me?" And he saw Edric nervously smile, he was in a fancy suit most likely brought by his mother and black dress pants.
"Huh.." Reader pondered while looking at the illusion sign. "That's cute, sure!" He held his hand out for Edric to take, once the other boy did Reader took him inside.
The boys went to the gym and enjoyed eachothers company. When it was time to dance Reader stood up and dragged Ed onto the dance floor.
"C'mon, Ed, let's dance." He smiled at him. Edric took his hand and Reader and him began to dance, the earlier sadness fading as they did so.
