I love when people think that things I love are junk. The first one is perfect aside from needing to be cleaned but I have excellent plans for repurposing the second one into an E.A. Poe shadow box. However long it takes me, I'll come back to share, at least the end result if not the process.
Inscription on the first shown in close up (2nd photo) reads;

Fils translates to "son". Imp may ? be short for imported. Fashion Illustrated. Journal offices.
