Reputation Tour

I almost punched a girl at the reputation tour in Pasadena, CA. Like my best friend was literally holding me back from punching her. And it happened WHILE @taylorswift was flying towards B stage singing Delicate...

I flew in to LA (where I used to live and still visit often) from Minneapolis just to go to the reputation concert with my BFF, Christina. I had gotten us seats near B stage and had been so looking forward to when Taylor would sing Delicate to be able to see her better and be close while she sang Dancing with our hands tied, ALL TOO WELL (surprise song) and Shake it off.

Unfortunately that experience was severely tainted by a beautiful girl who was doing SEVERELY ugly things throughout the night. She sat in front of us and next to a group of girls and 1 boy. For zero reason, this girl kept thinking that the boy (a few seats down from her) was taking her cell phone. He was not. She hit him a few times at various intervals throughout Camila's set and early in Taylor's set. I wrongly assumed they knew each other. When I eventually noticed him looking scared of her and her yelling racial and homophobic slurs at him while SWINGING HER FISTS at him, that's when shit went down.

My 2 goals were to get this clearly delusional and disturbed girl to STOP beating this innocent boy and then to get her ass kicked out of the Rose Bowl. My 3rd goal was to then see my favorite @taylorswift just yards away from me. But first things first.

I yelled at her from 2 rows up to "settle down" ("you need to calm down"'s dorkier cousin) to get her attention on me instead of on him. That worked and she stopped beating him. She then started swearing and threatening me and that's when Christina pulled me back without me even realizing how my fists were clenched at my sides ready to swing when necessary. Please remember: This is all WHILE TAYLOR IS DELICATELY FLYING TOWARDS US.

Christina left our seats to physically track down security. They came and dragged that sorry bitch out of the concert. Angels singing Hallelujah came down...no wait, it was @taylorswift landing on B stage!

The boy was visibly traumatized (understandably) and left for a bit with a friend. He came back right in time for Shake it off at our B stage! We hugged him and danced during Shake it off together.

I honestly couldn't help thinking that I wish that girl knew that Taylor was on HIS side. That she was at the WRONG concert and her hate had ZERO place there (nor anywhere).

I don't know where that boy is now - he took a selfie with me and Christina on his phone but we unfortunately don't have his contact info.

I hope he loves the song, You Need to Calm Down. I hope he hears it and knows that girl was absolutely in the wrong and that Taylor loves him. And I hope that girl gets serious professional help for the trauma she spread that night and the hate that was so vivid in her heart.

I STILL catch myself clenching up in a mix of fear and adrenaline when I hear Delicate. And I fucking love that song. And that incident is why I never ended up posting about that concert on social media. It was confusing and honestly traumatic.

So I can only imagine how that boy feels. I hope he's ok and really living his best life.

Thank you, Taylor, for You Need to Calm Down. I'm straight and I felt a sigh of relief when I first heard it. I hope that boy did too.

It’s the one year anniversary of my Rep show!!! It’s crazy how long ago that was! It was an amazing night seeing Taylor again for the first time in 9 YEARS!! I sang my heart out, I cried, and I had the best time ever. Thank you SO MUCH for that T!🖤

It was so amazing from start to finish. I was nervous attending at first since it was my first big outdoor concert after the Las Vegas Route 91 concert but the moment you came out I was in awe and was able to slowly break down my walls. At times it's still struggles but your show helped me so much that night to begin healing and able to enjoy live events again. ❤

I had a extra single ticket and paid it forward and gave it to my one friend since she does so much for me. Unfortunately we didn't sit next to each other but she enjoyed it and said she'd see your next tour with me and I can't wait.
