Television personality and rapper Big Zuu celebrated his "humble beginnings" and "working class people" after winning the Bafta TV award for features.
Big Zuu - whose real name is Zuhair Hassan - took home two awards during the 75th Bafta TV awards ceremony, after his show Big Zuu's Big Eats also secured the gong for entertainment performance.
After receiving the features award, Big Zuu, 27, paid tribute to his mother and the heritage of his school friends and fellow presenters Hyder and Tubsey.
While on stage, Big Zuu added: "Representation is so important. Growing up there wasn't many chefs or people that look like me on telly. And nowadays, young people watching us doing our ting, thinking do you know what, if these men can win a Bafta surely we can."
Before finishing his speech, Big Zuu said: "We did this for working class people, people that come from nothing."

Yaaasss, bisexual power
Something I've noticed in almost every show with black people. They all have straight hair. I mean there's absolutely nothing wrong with black girls having straight hair. But how come there aren't more black girls rocking their poofs or their frosting and natural curly hair. Even on shows where it's a black majority cast there doesn't seem to be a lot of characters with Afros or nappy hair.

Like I love Bonnie and Iris and Michaela don’t get me wrong but it would be nice to see some black female characters wearing their natural hair (or even braids y’know?) and younger ones too because I feel like it’s a lot cooler for older black women on TV to have a fro - see Viola on HTGAWM - and also women of darker skin not just Amandla and Yara.
Idk what other ways to promote The Bold Type anymore. It's not the lack of promoting it's the lack of giving it a chance from you guys that make this awesome series not doing ok. Don't say "it's not my kinda show" bullshit if you haven't watch it yet. God The Bold Type can't be more being misunderstood than Kat Edison was. Give it a chance guys, you might be surprised at how dumb you were for sleeping on this show. Tuesday on freeform | on demand | hulu.
