Renwal’s The Visible Man assembly kit - 1962.
The original Visible Woman model was made by Renwal in 1959, along with the Visible Man. I never had one but my friend’s older sister did and as a eight-year-old I was fascinated with it. Not sure where the first two images came from — they don’t show the reality of the model but I particularly like how one leg and arm simply shows the bone and arteries while the other has the muscles and the veins. Also, unlike the rendering on the box, her face is transparent to show all the muscles but without eyeballs. And to be fair, she also has a smaller waist, her face is downcast, and she is shown in a more graceful contrapposto pose with the left leg forward. Perhaps the illustrators in the advertising department took some liberties in rendering her . . . artistic license, you know. <grin>
You can see in the unpacked kit that the organs are all the same shade of pink — to get the assembled model to look like the rendering on the cover of the box the model-maker would have to paint all the veins, arteries, and organs separately. The small print on the box reads “Parts undecorated and paints not included”. I wonder how much detail Renwal gave in the assembly instructions on the suggested colors for painting all the organs, or for depicting muscles (I don’t think plastic muscle parts were included in the kit, but instead were painted on the inside of the clear plastic body shell).

More thrift finds from this summer.
Dollhouse armchair by Renwal, made of slightly brittle-looking molded plastic with a raised, ribbed polka dot pattern. Google Image Search tells me they made some rather nice looking dollhouse furniture, among them a sewing machine that actually looks a bit familiar... I’ll have to check my various boxes. The vintage baby doll came from a flea market. One piece of elastic holds all four limbs in place - it was broken when I bought it, but it was easily replaced.
(Stuff I had before: table by Jean/Jeanette, West Germany. Cracked “bell jar” is just some packaging from Flying Tiger. Knockoff Figma from... some knockoff Figma factory in China, I guess.)
