I feel like, as perceptive as Nora is, she is also her own blindspot, and I feel like that's even worse with everything she's going through now
Which has a lot of fun implications that don't have much to do with shipping but I gotta make this about my OT3, so: next in the long line of Problems getting in the way of Renorarc is Nora recognizing Ren and Jaune's feelings for each other, forgetting that polyamory is an option, and coming to the conclusion that she's lost her chance with both of them
... Weiss is the one who gives Nora a reality check on that one
I do not expect Renorarc to end up as a canon throuple but if it happens I'll be over the shattered moon
the dynamic i like the idea of the most for Weiss and Jaune is "friends who bond over being queer disasters for their significant others"
And specifically my brain is showing me two images:
Jaune's being too bi to function because of Ren and Nora flirting with him, and Weiss just pats Jaune's shoulder in a "yeah, i know what that's like" kinda way
Weiss.exe has stopped working because Ruby did something cute, and this time Jaune is the one who pats Weiss's shoulder

Like, Cinder's fighting Ren and Jaune and is about to win so she's started gloating again and she's mid-monologue when Nora comes in out of nowhere, yells something like "GET AWAY FROM MY BOYS" and hits Cinder with Magnhild hard enough to send her into the stratosphere Team Rocket style

RWBY mundane AU where Jaune Ren and Nora are a regular throuple but various circumstances and scheduling conflicts keep coming up at the last minute and stopping them from going on that date they've been trying to plan all month
I have to say, I love how things seem to just keep going wrong for Renorarc
They either were a throuple by the time the others caught up with them at Argus, or were on their way to becoming that
But then the Atlas Arc nearly broke the trio apart multiple times and just when it looks like they'll be able to work things out with time, one of them falls into another universe and the two who were left behind have a disconnect they can't get past now that their third is gone - and then he comes back, physically the same as when he left but mentally 20 awful years older, and no matter how much the three of them try to return to their old dynamic it's not the same, it can't be the same
They're a fucking star-crossed throuple and I love it. I wanna see what the Brothers throw at them next
This is how renorarc could work in Vacuo.
Jaune, who loves his teammates so much, but doesn't recognize his own growing feelings for them. They've always been together, and even if they're struggling now, they'll work things out. He can't intrude on that. He's just happy to see them again.
Nora, who is taking time to figure herself out. She's always loved Ren, and they've always been together, but finding herself includes re-examining what her relationship with Ren should look like. Maybe that could include another?
Ren, who's trying to give Nora the space she needs. In the meantime, he's spending more time with Jaune. He's so happy Jaune's back, he admires Jaune so much and... he loves Nora so much. He said it was ok for her to take her own time, but with his semblance evolution, he can't ignore his own feelings for both of them. What should he do?
