Him’s Love

Enjoy! This was just a quick writing thing I wanted to get out of my head.
---- Innocence was a broad term and not one Him would ever use so lightly. Each and everyone of his companions had shed blood upon the land, all felt guilty for it in some manner. Yet, when it came to Rennare Wilder, his halfling companion with the sun in his eyes, Him would call him innocent. He knew of Ren’s faults, his past that he was terrified to share and hadn’t done so verbally with any of them. So how did Him know about the tiny male’s past.
Healing is a funny thing, it connects and binds the wounds so that the subject can be saved. Ren’s healing wasn’t normal, possibly due to his birth and learnings. His healing got deeper, shifting into the unconscious of the subject and saving them more than physically. They connected and bonded, Him felt like it was his duty to protect and love this man.
Love, it was love that drove the nord male to watch out for his savior. This love wasn’t one he could find the words for. He wanted to cherish Ren’s life, to protect him from all harm, to embrace him when he felt hurt about something. There was more to this feeling, yet there was danger to this emotion that was building up in the archer’s gut. He loved Ren and would do anything for him, but like the moons and sun, they could not prosper together or be together like the nord wanted to be.
Their love was distant and eternal. Him would keep it like that for as long as both shall prosper.
