So I haven’t really ever been very vocal on Tumblr. Not that I haven’t been interested in many things, but I was more on the reader side of this place, appreciating the people and loving all the content you guys create. 

But y’all Netflix has just gotten rid of my last nerve and this nut really cracked. Anne with an E means so much to me. I’m not even gonna mention all the important topics and issues that are discussed in it, because we have all seen that over the years. But what made me love it so passionately is because of all the hope and positivity it gave me while watching it. So many times, while watching it, I made a mental note to myself that I was smiling so hard. It was so uplifting and heartwarming. They created a world with cruelty and hardships, but they made us feel like we are unbeatable, and that if we fight hard enough, believe and work together as a community, we can achieve what we set out for. And even if we fail at something, who’s to say that we can’t try tomorrow with even more opportunities to fix things? This series made me forget all the anxieties and dark thoughts I have in life, and instead gave me a new focus for that one episode I was watching. It made me fall in love with all the character, made me be so proud of Anne and gave me the not so occasional eye-roll at how clueless both Gilbert and our hot-headed girl are. 

So, dear Netflix, are you telling me their journey is ended, and I should be so happy about it? How can a journey end with Ka’kwet still in that hell of a school, their parents hopelessly trying to help from nearby? Just because a chapter ends, doesn’t mean the book is over, my dear money-grabbing friend. I am so far from being done with these characters. The new chapter, college, is literally the start of their big lettered lives. We were there for the ups and downs of Gilbert’s and Anne’s relationship, and now we don’t even get to see it blossom? How will Marilla and Matthew be without their darling princess Cordelia around? How will the girls live through college? I want to learn about that young deaf-mute woman we only got a glimpse of. I want to know how Bash manages with Elijah and Delphine. I want Ka’kwet smiling and happy again, and I want to see how Cole and Aunt Jo are continuously living their extra lives being the queens they both are. 

I could go on and on, because every character gave me so many different things. But my main girl, my darling Anne, my daydreaming partner, thank you for making me believe that imagination is not a weakness, it’s the strongest weapon we can possess. Thank you, for letting me appreciate more everything around me, and getting back some of that childlike hope I had when I was smaller. But this is not a goodbye. I am not yet giving up on that freedom of spirit you blessed me with. Stories aren’t just stories. They can make or break us. 

Or just go ahead and give us more of those Riverdale hotties-no plot-crack that everybody is I guess so into, because screw quality over money, right?
