A single green apple fills an entire room, turning an ordinary object into something impossible. Magritte often challenged the way we perceive reality, making familiar things feel strange simply by changing their scale or context. The painting offers no explanation, leaving the viewer to question whether the room has become too small or the apple impossibly large.
