okay look y'all,, i just have this headcanon that draco and narcissa have extremely curly hair. narcissa easily keeps it tamed bc she knows how to deal with it and does her and draco's hair all the time before hogwarts. but once draco is in hogwarts, all of narcissa's tips kind of go down the drain so he ends up using a lot of gel and potions to slick down his hair. as he gets older, he realises how much he should actually use so that it isn't terribly slick. then, during the war, he cuts it short so he doesn't have to deal with it because why should draco have to deal with his hair when he has all of this other stress? and then once noseless is dead and the war is over, he grows it out and lets it be almost as disorderly as potter's, but he doesn't care because he's showing off his most noble and ancient house of black heritage and secretly loves not having to worry about what it looks like because he's comfortable and slowly healing.
