She knows what the British did to her people, and if it's anything like what they did to mine, I understand the pain that comes with that.

The British colonized my people, the came in with their whitewashed bibles with false kind-hearts and want for peace, then indoctrinated and conquered a growing nation. They slaughtered and enslaved many and stole from us, many of which they still actively refuse to give back to us. They forced different nations that functioned better apart and combined them into one before they named our country, is though it wouldn't be grounds for conflict and resentment amongst people that weren't meant to thrive that way. They took so much and finally left after they'd doomed the country to fail. My heritage would have been so much more, so diverse and prosperous if it wasn't for their invasion, religious indoctrination, and colonization. Several aspects of our culture has been watered down or rejected in the name of the white man's religion and our economy and people fall apart because they never intended for the nation to thrive on its own. Almost 60 countries have been colonized by them.

She knows the damage they did, she is not wrong in any way for not apologizing to the idiots who don't know or want to accept their history.

In all seriousness though, Psalm 137’s backstory is a legitimately unsettling portrayal of indoctrination by religious cults, but through the lens of body horror!
