A Coptic orthodox monastery probably originally founded in the 4th century CE/AD. (2) These goats adorn the walls of the outer courtyard of the monastery. (3) Unfortunately the interior of the church was closed on the day we visited, but we checked out the courtyard at least! (4) These fun birds on a cross adorn the walls of the outer courtyard of the monastery.
