summary: elijah doesn't get the reason why his beloved mage wanted to quit his party.
just imagine being a really strong mage that can practically blew up a whole castle if you wanted to. but the thing is... you are stuck on the hero's side.
elijah, being a famous hero he is, was known for being an upright person. someone who moves forward to bring peace to the people not just for those people inside his kingdom, but to the people around the world. he is someone who believes in equality. someone who believes that violence won't solve anything.
he is also famous for his looks, ofc. but after defeating the demon king with his party. his fame skyrocketed, much to your dismay.
are you jealous? yes, you are fucking jealous.
what do you mean that he usually spends his time with women? what do you mean that he receives countless gifts and confessions from men and women alike? you also want that kind of fame!
you are the one who delivered the last blow to that demon king and killed it but why are they acting like elijah is the one who killed it? ah, damn! you're so jealous that you could die!
so, while looking for ways to be more popular. you saw this book that quitting a hero's party could make you more popular. so, you immediately go to where Elijah is and find him getting fed by your resident elf archer who had an insatiable energy in bed (btw, he is a man. you're still not sure if he's gay tho.) while your tsundere tomboy was currently telling a story to elijah who was petting the hair of the youngest in your group, your party's healed who was sitting on his lap.
seeing you, elijah's face brightens immediately. but then-
“ please kick me out of the party! ”
is the first thing that you had said while bowing your dad. Elijah blinked, and for a few moments, his face darkened. the usual smile on his face had disappeared. but only your archer noticed that making him giggle softly.
then, by the time you look at him. his lips curve into his usual smile and ask you for your reason. then you immediately explain the reason why. but your hero, elijah, only smiled brightly.
“ hell no <3! ”
yes, he said those words sweetly and that icked you. looked like this attempt is failed too.
now, it made elijah's mood sour. he doesn't get the reason why you're so persistent on becoming popular. on making people like you.
when in the first place, he was already head over heels towards you.
elijah likes everything about you. your sometimes twisted personality, your tendency to overdress when you attend parties along with his party, your smile, the way your soft voice calling him 'hero' when he was about to collapse while facing the demon king, the way your hair fluttered as your magic circle surrounded the demon king before you made them explode using your magic. more importantly, elijah likes you an your magic.
so.... why are you so persistent on becoming popular in the first place when you already have him?
“ haha, maybe they just don't like you? ”
he tried to ask the most experienced person in his party once. but that is what the archer said as he attempted to kiss elijah. only for the said guy to casually evade his attempt.
ignoring the archer's whining, elijah decided to ask you for the reason. only for you to tell- now that the world is finally at peace and the humans, beasts, elves and the other creatures alike were co-existing. isn't it the time for the five of you to settle down and find someone to marry? and the first step on finding a good husband/wife is by being popular!
now you are speaking a language that elijah could not understand.
why are you finding other people to settle down with when in the first place, you were the one who boldly declared that you were his mage anyway? that he was the only hero that you would follow.
but then, if it means that you will stay with him, elijah is willing to destroy the peace that he and your party once fought for.
as a yandere, elijah is the soft manipulative yandere that is slowly transitioning into a possessive and territorial one.
careful to not trigger his yandere tendency because elijah can be dangerous despite his sweet hero persona. he only wants one simple thing after all. he just wants you to stay with him because the world is less fun without his little mage, you know?
“ i am your hero, right? the only hero worthy for you to follow. so... why are you leaving me then? ”
