This red gown was first seen on an extra in the 2022 second season of 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒐𝒏, in the episode 𝑶𝒇𝒇 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔.   The costume was seen again in 2024 when Eliza Bennett wore it as Harriet in Hallmark’s 𝑨𝒏 𝑨𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝑰𝒏 𝑨𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏.   While the 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒐𝒏 costume department certainly made clothes for extras, the fact that this piece appeared in a different production after 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒐𝒏 (rather than a later season of 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒐𝒏) leads me to believe that this costume was not created for 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒐𝒏 but was instead rented and returned.   Where do you think this costume could have originated? Current progress on my #relaxedregency dress. I've got the bodice nearly finished, so much piping, so I've been hand sewing most of it with cotton thread. I'm currently understitching the neckline, and about to attach the skirt to the bodice! I like the gathering on the front, I did less this time vs my white dress. Progress on my Regency green floral dress. I cut everything out. I'll probably end up making a mask in this fabric as well. This is a combo of modified McCall's 7493 and @americanduchess Simplicity 8941.
