this is… Ask Removed!Glisten! :D

this is an AU I came up with where Glisten was removed from the show and Gardenview, because many parents didn’t approve of him. So Delilah basically dragged him off in the middle of the night, and threw him into a small room alone. BUT she ALSO removed all his memories! Including the ones from the show, so yeah. Have fun! :]

RULES / EXTRA INFO

1• I ship ReflectiveDetective so expect that to be at least hinted at if Rodger is brought in

2• pls don’t just tell Glisten everything (that’s no fun) you can give vague hints though!

3• M!As are aloud, but only small things

4• this is kinda meant to be a little angsty

5• you can ask things to other characters, but Glisten is the main character

6• Gardenview is still open at this point

I LOVEEEEE Reflectivedetective so much, but it feels like half the time I see it in the fanbase I think one or both of the characters are done super dirty…

I personally like the ship because of their canon interactions together , I think they have some chemistry and have personalities that mesh well. I also ship them because I have a multitude of headcanons for both characters that flesh them out better and make them stand out as individuals.

the thing that bothers me about Fanon refdet is most people that make content for it seem to not give these characters that much of their effort when making their characterization for them, resulting in one or both of the characters feeling very… flat 😔

of course I can’t blame them, they (especially Rodger) don’t have much lore. But it’s kind of a bummer to see such a lovely ship be turned into “Y/N x CEO” ship number 5087. It’s so painful when I’m reading a fic and once again, one of the characters is turned into a cardboard cutout for the other to dote on, or even worse, both are turned into cardboard cutouts with no depth… Come on guys!!!! Give them more complexity!!!!! AGGHHHHHHHH!!!
