The batman part 2 delayed AGAIN ☹️💔
the penguin show is kinda funny in a way bc u can tell oz is making shit up as he goes pretty consistently throughout the show and making himself more problems to talk himself out of because of that
ScarJo as Poison Ivy would go so hard. Please Matt Reeves make this happen

Matt Reeves said he is doing a villain that hasn’t been done on the big screen
The five other Mad Hatter fans and I have a chance
So, I was watching "Everything GREAT About The Batman!" and the narrator plays the scene where we see Bruce's actual face outside the suit for the first time and Bruce says "I can't change things here. I can't have an effect. I don't care what happens to me" and the narrator says that it might sound noble, or even be noble, that it's a common criticism of Batman, that someone this richs thinks that dressing up as a bat and punching people is the only real way to help people and have an effect, but that this is a reminder how early in his career Bruce is and how he's not doing okay mentally. I agree with that, but I would also like to ask, why does he think that? What has be done beyond dress as a bat and punch people. I think people tend to forget that Bruce Wayne, especially in everybody's beloved Batman: The Animated Series, is also a heavy philanthropist and the set up to a lot of his batwork tends to be that he's introduced to the crime because of his philanthropy (think Mr Freeze being introduced at a gala, Poison Ivy at the breaking of ground of a new building, etc, etc), he's a CEO of a massive company that all but runs Gotham, he hires people in an effort to turn their lives around, hoping they'll become a stable part of society again, he tries his fucking best, even when he fails, even when he puts the wrong people in charge (the man can't know everything going on at his company, especially if folks are trying to hide it or it happened before he took the reins). I really hope, if we ever get a sequel, we get to see Bruce Wayne actually take the mantle as CEO at Wayne Enterprises and root out the corruption (which I think is a part of why Bruce claims he can't have an impact, not just the very obvious depression and guilt and anger) in WE.
Bruce Wayne by day and Batman by night. Bruce and Batman growing together, as leaders, as people, as symbols. It's not that "people forget Bruce is a philanthropist", it's that often times that's shoved off to the side, unimportant to who Bruce/The Bat when he's already established, but someone so young as this Batman? He needs to learn that he can make a difference as Bruce and as the Bat. I think that's what the sequel, if it ever happens, should focus on. Because this Bruce is still so young and still learning who he is and who he wants to be, what he wants to mean to people.
We already see The Batman struggle in the movie, how he's educated, sure, but he's not at the fully formed levels we know him as in earlier iterations where he figures everything out before shit goes sideways. In this movie, he fails, repeatedly, and makes mistakes, and has to grow from them. I think we should see that again if there's ever a sequel, but this time as Bruce Wayne, as he becomes the CEO he has to be to fix his company and, maybe one day, his city.
As the narrator said in "Kraven - How to Get Bullied by the Internet | Anatomy of a Failure", heroes and villains need to have weaknesses, they need to have blind spots, they need to be balanced. Power only means something when it's limited, earned in some way. In this version of Batman, we are watching him grow up, not be born or in his prime with a Robin by his side.
