#Methane
Money drives the herds. An increase in the cost of an item could make people use a cheaper item or do without if necessary. The United States subsides the meat industry with our tax money. If those subsidies went away, the price of beef, for instance, would increase making $1.00 hamburgers a thing of the past. I say, stop using tax money to help keep down the costs of items. Let the marketplace do it’s job. Eating habits will change.
Besides changing eating habits, we would reduce our live stock, slaughter houses and thus methane gases and pink retention ponds. A drastic measure, yes. But we humans are already way past the tipping point to save our species; and the unfathomable chaos that climate change is about to give us. We need to take measures today that can be fully implemented within 2 to 3 years.
